Welp, it’s official–the hellish temps of summer have arrived in the desert. Welcome to the burning times, also known as summer. I don’t know about you, but the last three months have been a roller coaster ride of weird, strange, and stressful. The current climate (weather and otherwise) has been challenging, to say the least. Not just to witness, but to keep your footing with the daily shake-ups. I just have to remember to turn away from the media and switch my focus a little closer to home, because that’s where my faith in humanity gets restored. Witnessing the small kindness and quiet compassion in my friends, family, and neighbors keeps me moving forward.
